EA has been known to do tie-ins with tons of their games, but nothing has been quite so shocking as this. While its expected with a tongue-in-cheek game like LittleBigPlanet where you have numerous costumes for Sack boy, the announcement that the European version of Dante’s Inferno will feature Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke was a little bit shocking.. considering the two have nothing to do with one another.

Dead Space takes place on an abandoned mining ship in space, while Dante’s Inferno is based on the centuries old Italian poem by Dante Alighieri. While the tie in may not have anything to do with going to hell and back, it does leave gamers with the veritable question: wtf?

Here’s a full list of details of things which will be included in the European release, taken from an Italian website. No word on whether or not North American releases will receive a different tie-in.

• Exclusive costume for a playable character in-game: Isaac Clarke from Dead Space!
• Making-of documentary with the game (Italian subtitles)
• Documentary “Dante in History” (subtitled in English)
• Soundtrack full game
• Documentary on the creation of music and audio (Italian subtitles)
• Digital Artbook edited by visual designer Wayne Barlowe (subtitled in English)
• Over 10 minutes of scenes from the soul “Dante’s Inferno An Animated Epic” (subtitled in English)
• Digital reprint of the poem Complete (in English)
