Spike VGA Awards Recap
This weekend was a big week for gamers, as the Spike Video Game Awards were hosted, offering a great show with tons of new game announcements and trailers with the world abuzz in what’s coming in video games. In fact, five new games made their debut at the show, including:
Batman: Arkham Asylum 2
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
Green Day: Rock Band
Deadliest Warrior: The Game
True Crime
Of course, Green Day was on site to celebrate the debut of their new Rock Band game, which everyone seems to have mixed feelings about. The Beatles Rock Band was pushing it, but it seems as if this Green Day game might be just a bit over the top for fans. Even Guitar Hero Aerosmith wasn’t well received when it was released, and Aerosmith is about as classic as classic gets, when we’re not talking about the Beatles.
Aside from the announcement of these five new games, we got a good look at several of the games which will be released in 2010, with some juicy footage which is available on gametrailers.com. The titles which really stole the shows focus were:
Halo: Reach
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Medal Of Honor
Spec Ops: The Line
Crackdown 2
UFC 2010 Undisputed
Tron: Evolution
Overall, it was a great show and we’re looking forward to actually getting our hands on these titles!
