Man Marries DS In Guam
These days, it’s not uncommon for a game to feature a real time clock to assist gameplay. In fact, this feature is one of the things that makes Animal Crossing and Fable II so fun, as you can turn the game off and come back and the game knows exactly how long it’s been since you’ve been away. Leaves will be in your town, or you’ll have a massive collection of gold from your rental properties. However, this technology has gone just a bit too far.
A game known as Love Plus and straight out of Japan utilizes the technology in order to create a digital girlfriend for you. The game is said to be incredibly realistic, but here’s the kicker: A Japanese man married his digital girlfriend. The ceremony was performed in Guam, with official papers.
Apparently, a formal ceremony will be held back in Japan, where he’s invited several different media outlets to attend. A streaming event of the ceremony will be held online. I have to say.. this has got to be the most one sided “relationship” ever. Marrying lines of code. We’re one step away from marrying robots.
