5 New Heroes for League of Legends: Clash of Fates Unveiled

In a game that is promising to blow the modification it is based on out of the water, League of Legends already has around 12 heroes to choice from. This may seem like a lot for a DoTA-inspired game, especially since Demigod, which came out earlier this year, only allowed for 8 total playable summoners, four for each side. However, League of Legends is not out of beta and already more than 15 heroes have been announced. Here’s a look at the latest group:
1. Veigar – He functions almost exactly like the Black Mages from Final Fantasy, with the ability to siphon power from his enemies, and the ability to conjure an area of effect prison which can spell massive trouble for enemy forces. However, he’s balanced out with low hit points and rather weak melee abilities, which means he’s at his best in the back of the pack raining hell down on the front lines.
2. Kassadin – Kassadin is a void walker with the ability to teleport through the darkness in the map. He wields a giant void energy sword and sounds a little like Darth Vader. He has ranged silencing capabilities and his sword drains mana from those he attacks, meaning this guy is a caster’s worst nightmare.
3. Taric – Taric is LoL’s answer to the paladin, and this guy really packs a punch. he has the ability to stun enemies long range, as well as an armor aura which is applied to nearby allies. In addition, he has a healing spell which can heal others and increase their damage output, which makes him really deadly to use with other DPS heroes.
4. Blitzcrank – This guy looks like a cross between steam punk and a Colossus from Shadow of the Colossus, and we’re not kidding when we say he really packs a punch. He has the ability to stun enemies from a range, and a summon which can toss you up in the air, turning you into little more than a massive juggle fest until you’re dead.
5. Corki – The Dwarven Inventor is the newest addition to the team, and even though he’s rather small, his stats and abilities are very respectable. He’s never without his helicopter and has an arsenal of weapons including a gatling gun which can spray you full of armor-piercing bullets. In addition, he has flash bombs and other tricks up his sleeve which are so new, we haven’t even gotten to play in the beta yet.
This wraps up the latest round of heroes which are available for League of Legends beta testers. The game is scheduled for release sometime in October.
