The Madden Curse Is Still Alive (8 Out Of 11 Years Now)
It’s official, being on the cover of Madden is a curse. What was once a prestigious award is officially a ticket to the training room. Last night in week 1 Troy Polamalu made a one handed interception and swarmed Tennessee Titan’s running backs. Then he got bit by the curse. Troy is out 3-6 weeks with an MCL Sprain. Since the introduction of placing players on the cover, 8 out of the 11 players have been hurt.
This year was the first year 2 players were chosen to get hurt so God Bless Larry Fitzgerald. If you are an Arizona Cardinals fan you have to be worried. In fact, I think next year players (and fans) should veto the decision of being the cover athlete.
