Hearts Of Iron 3 Preview
Earlier in the week in our Make it Rain Trailer Monday’s post, we covered the most popular new releases this week. One game we wanted to extend our coverage on was Hearts of Iron 3. The popular Hearts of Iron series game is being released today August 7th for the PC. The game has a cool concept, it allows you to be any nation fighting in WWII between the time period of 1936 – 1948. After choosing your country you take aim using technology, espionage, the army & navy, etc on your enemies. This is an interesting twist as it allows you to see the various perspectives and sides for fighting in the war.
Another cool thing about the game is the extended map which allows you to zoom in and out of 13 viewing modes. As you zoom in you start seeing provinces that cover terrains, waterways, resources, and intelligence gatherings. Units on the map are divided by NATO symbols to assist in determining allies and enemies.
Overall, this game looks like a must buy for players who love strategy based games. There are tons of options and the difficulty level should keep you interested as you learn the map system and fighting strategies of the various countries.
