Guitar Hero 5 New Features Revealed
Guitar Hero 5 will be developed by Neversoft and published by Red Octane and Activision. It will be released at the end of 2009. So what’s new in the latest version? Similar to 4, the game is setup as a 4 person band experience. Although, now the game will allow up to four players to play any combination of instruments, including multiples of the same type. So if all 4 of you want to crack the drums you can hammer away as a group! Two new modes have been added called Party Play and RockFest. Party Play allows players to jump in and out of the game seamlessly. RockFest has 4 players locally or 8 online competing for top points. If a player misses a note, they must regain their momentum by hitting 20 consecutive notes to continue playing. A report from IGN revealed some of the songs that will be included:
The Rolling Stones : Sympathy for the Devil
Bob Dylan: All Along The Watchtower
The White Stripes : Blue Orchid
Santana : No One To Depend On (LIVE)
Vampire Weekend : A-Punk
Tom Petty: Runnin Down a Dream
Johnny Cash : Ring of Fire
Kings of Leon: Sex on Fire
