Lara Croft Not Girly Enough
The creator of the Tomb Raider series, Eidos, is looking for answers. They want to know why their latest game Tomb Raider: Underworld sales were down. And what did they come up with? Believe it or not they felt Lara Croft wasn’t girly enough. The CFO of Eidos said: “We need to look at everything, as we develop the next game. Look at how Batman changed successfully, from the rather sad character of the Michael Keaton era to the noir style of The Dark Knight.” So basically they are looking to make Lara appeal to the female market more?
