Rock Band Goes Country

Country music lovers can finally get into the Rock Band scene. A small dose of country music will be available for download for Rock Band starting December 16th. The five tracks will come from country singers Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert and the Dixie Chicks. From the CMT Blog:

“To those narrow-minded haters, I say just wait until Dec 16. That’s when Rock Band will add five country songs to its downloadable content for PlayStation3 and XBOX 360. If you have PS2, you are out of luck because you won’t have access to the online store. I’ll be the first to admit that some country artists would not make sense for Rock Band, like Alan Jackson, Jewel or Faith Hill. But this bundle’s going to have Bentley, plus Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert and the Dixie Chicks. All pretty hard-rocking country types. There’s no word yet on what the difficulty level will be or how these big stars will look as little avatars.”
