The famous science and wilderness education center National Geographic is apparently entering the gaming world. This month, National Geographic Games, a newly formed department within the company, will launch three games to be soon followed by another three games early next year. The games will be developed for the Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Wii, PC + MAC, handheld gaming devices, and even the iPhone. They are not messing around are they? A new app called iFun turns your iPhone into a Wii like device. Right now iFun consists of golf, baseball, basketball and bowling but they plan on adding more motion based games. Will this be competition for the Wii or just another system trying to extend thier territory? I think its time for Nintendo to put a few motion based games on the Nintendo DS mobile devices!
